I’m happy if I win the AD Lakers
Anthony Davis (29) served as a special helper for the victory.
His team LA Lakers (hereinafter referred to as the Lakers) beat the Toronto Raptors by 10 points in the NBA 2022-23 regular league home game held at Crypto Dotcom Arena in Los Angeles, California on the 11th (Korea Standard Time).
Davis had eight points, nine rebounds, three assists, and four blocks, rather than directly attacking. As a result, the Lakers won three consecutive games and were able to maintain their ninth place in the Western Conference.
Davis, in particular, was not included in the opening of the fourth quarter. The players who stood on the court at the time were Dennis Schroeder-DiAngelo Russell-Austin Reeves-Jared Vanderbilt-Wonyen Gabriel.
Davis has always played more than half of the fourth quarter, but coach Dabin Ham continued the game with a five-man lineup that led to the reversal. They gave Ham a nine-point lead as expected.
And Davis was put in at 5:53 at the end of the fourth quarter and beat Toronto 22-10 in the section. Davis focused on defensive rebounds and put a solid screen on Russell and Schroeder, who performed well. He also joined Vanderbilt as a fast-track trailer topple Toronto’s camp.
Davis, who revealed his mindset about winning in an interview with Kyle, said that most of his career was about winning.
“I’m the best scorer and I can play high-quality defense, but I only want to win,” he said adding, “I usually went on the court in about seven minutes of the fourth quarter, and my team members were doing well.”
“They’ve turned the tide of victory,” said Davis, who is happy that Schroeder, Reeves, Russell, Vanderbilt and Gabriel did. “I backed down and thought, ‘They keep dominating the game,’ and I watched the high-quality game comfortably.”
Davis, who said everything is good as long as the team wins, said, “I’m fine and happy,” but encouraged, “They carried a lot of burden against Toronto.”
Davis, who was willing to sacrifice his playing time for the team’s development, is now creating a great chemical reaction in the Lakers squad. They have played only 11 games since the trade deadline, but they boast strong teamwork.
LeBron James is yet to return, but the Lakers, led by Davis, will continue to fight for the sixth seed in the Western Conference.
